My experience with the Dalai Lama on June 6 in Perth

Growing up in a catholic family and being educated in a convent school for 10 years. The existence of the Dalai Lama was vague to me except the time I watched "Little Buddha". I must say that my encounter with him has been a pleasant one, very engaging. When questions were asked, sometimes he would shrug his shoulders and say "I don't know". An honest individual. Off course that would make me laugh! His talk on religion has definitely made me wanna sit down and question my spirituality with my personal beliefs. One thing that I have learnt from him is "If you want others to be happy, practise compassion. If you want to be happy, practise compassion." Given another opportunity, I would go for another one of this talks again... The Dalai Lama prays at the shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal in November 2001.
